Service Description:
Administration and maintenance of production database servers, and will participate in the design of database systems, performance tuning and on-call support during off hours and weekends. The primary function is to manage the Oracle Databases but not limited to that. Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Participates in the creation and enforcement of architectural standards: security, availability, replication, storage, archive/purge, configuration management, and metadata and data dictionary.
• Assist in Monitoring and optimization of system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, partitioning and other methods
• Responsible for backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Performs logical and physical data modelling
• Develops reliable and efficient database code to support enterprise reporting
• Implements database solutions to support business needs
• Database design, implementation, transaction processing, referential integrity, performance tuning and monitoring with an emphasis in MS SQL
• Involve in data modelling, relational database design, and ability to create and implement physical databases from logical data models
• Data-access coding skills with T-SQL, PL/SQL, indexing, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
Desired Additional Skills:
• Oracle 10g, 11 g is mandatory
• Knowledge in database architecting of databases and sizing.
• Knowledge in Designing and Implementing Oracle Real Application Cluster
• Experience in Designing and Implementing Oracle Data Guard
• Experience in Designing and Configuring RMAN Backup and Recovery.
• Microsoft Sql Server database knowledge & experience is a plus
• BA/BS Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• OCP in DBA
• MCPDBA preferred Experience
